HP Reportedly Working On Android Smartphones And Tablets Despite webOS Failures
HP is looking into getting back into the mobile hardware game, according to a new report from ReadWrite which the Verge says is being confirmed from their own sources. HP famously bought webOS and then brought a tablet to market based on that Palm-developed platform, the TouchPad, which ended up being a dismal failure that the company shut down very quickly.HP had also launched a smartphone, the Veer 4G based on webOS, but that also proved ineffective at capturing the attention of consumers. The company is apparently still looking to get back into the hardware game after a hiatus spanning a couple of years, however, with a new tablet featuring an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor, which ReadWrite pegs for an imminent announcement, and is also considering Android-based smartphone for future development. Verge reports that the timeline sounds good, but scheduling could change for a tablet launch.
After HP CEO Meg Whitman took over, she announced that the company would ultimately offer a smartphone to keep up with the fact that for many in the developing world, such a device is now their first and maybe only computer. That launch isn’t planned for 2013, however, Whitman later stated.
But back in late 2011, Whitman did make statements to the effect that HP could create webOS-powered tablets again in 2013. While these reports suggest webOS is likely off the table, HP could stick to Whitman’s target plan of fielding a tablet device based on a mobile OS this year, but one based on Android instead of its own product, which it has since open-sourced.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that HP would dip its toes back in the mobile hardware pool even after suffering such a reversal the first time around. The fact is that mobile is where the computing industry is going, and Apple’s iPad is almost singlehandedly propping up the sagging fortunes of traditional mobile PC form factors like notebooks. And HP missed earnings expectations in Q4 2012, thanks in part to a continuing “decline in hardware.”
A tablet isn’t a panacea for HP, however. The Android tablet market still has yet to find a champion that can compare to the iPad’s popularity, and there is plenty of competition out there for buyer attention. Fielding a device that impresses above and beyond what’s already out there, at a price point that turns heads is a basic requirement for Android tablet success at this point, from HP or from anyone else.

NOTE: Before you continue to follow below steps make sure that you do a backup of your device in
iTunes cause, during this process you may lose your Camera Roll and other data.
Step 1: Use this link to download latest Absinthe version.
Step 2: Extract the downloaded content inside new folder on your desktop.
Step 3: In the folder that we just extracted, find and click on absinthe-win-2.0.exe file.
Step 4: New folder called absinthe-win-2.0 will be automatically created.
Step 5: Open the folder that was just created and launch absinthe.exe.
Step 6: As suggested in pop-up window, connect your iPad to your PC using USB cable, and make sure to remove VPN settings or any passcodes you set before.
Step 7: To begin click the Jailbreak button.
Step 8: This application will need to perform several steps for jailbreak to be completed. Those steps are: beginning jailbreak, sending initial jailbreak data, sending final jailbreak data, waiting for reboot, and waiting for process to complete.Step 9: When the process is finished you will be informed that jailbreak is successfully finished.
Step 10: Cydia will appear on your iPad Springboard in a few moments.

G 84 inch Ultra HD 4k 3D TV Eyes on
In case you haven’t been following along with the latest and greatest TVs, the hottest new thing is 4k. Also being called Ultra HD for its eye-numbing ultra-high def resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. Back in late October LG launched their first 4K TV in the US, the 84-inch $20,000 TV and we got a few quick pictures of it in action.
Here at CES 2013 the brand new LG 84-inch Ultra HD 3D TV was taking up some much needed real estate, and LG was equipping our eager eyes with their new lightweight 3D glasses — no syncing required. The bad boy you see above is officially called the LG 84LM9600. It’s really hard to explain it without you seeing for yourself. The images are exceptionally clear and so realistic I feel like I could touch them.
Then don’t get us started on 3D. Many of our quick hands-on pictures are of the impressive TV blasting 3D images so they don’t quite do it justice, but it really is something to look at. With over 8 million pixels — 4 times that of regular “HD TVs” — the Ultra HD 4K TV brings in-home entertainment to an entirely new level.
In case you missed the launch date news, this TV certainly isn’t cheap. It’s available as of late late 2012 at your favorite retailer for the low price of only $20,000. Or basically a nice new car. As you can imagine, most content available today doesn’t come in those crazy high 4K resolutions — but they’ll be available soon. Get that GoPro Hero 3 Black edition and shoot some Ultra HD video for your enjoyment. Who’s buying?
