The next breakthrough for Samsung could be a phone with flexible and unbreakable display. Reuters reports that Samsung’s next flagship Galaxy smartphone or the Galaxy S IV, could feature an unbreakable display with a pixel density of 441 ppi. The predictions are that it could be the biggest selling point for the upcoming device. The report also suggests that preparations for volume manufacturing of unbreakable displays continue are going on. Samsung is developing its follow-up flagship device under the codename ‘Project J’ after mobile division chief JK Shin.
Earlier rumors suggest that the Galaxy S IV will feature 5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, a quad-core Exynos chip based on the ARM Cortex A15 architecture, 2GB of RAM and a 13 megapixel camera. A flexible display will definitely add up to the features of the device, something innovative to challenge Apple’s iPhone. The Galaxy S IV is expected to be unveiled in April 2013.
