Control your Sky box from your Android phone!
Got a Sky+HD box and a Google phone or tablet? Then we’ve got good news for you: you can now take control your telly with just of a few taps and swipes of the finger, as the Sky+ Android app introduces remote control functions in the latest update.
If you’ve been eyeing your iPhone-toting mates jealously as they boss their TV around from a touchscreen, you’ll want to check this out. The new Sky+ Android app update adds remote control features that lets you pause, play, and rewind TV with just a quick swipe, and you can also manage your planner through the app. This lets you add and delete recordings that have been stored on the Sky+ box without interrupting anyone watching at the same time.
To get up and running, all you need to do is to connect your Sky+HD box to the same network that your Android device is on, pair them up together and presto: you can now leave your old Sky remote down the side of the sofa where it belongs.
